From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Communication is a process of transferring information from one entity to another. Communication processes are sign-mediated interactions between at least two agents which share a repertoire of signs and semiotic rules. Communication is commonly defined as "the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs". Although there is such a thing as one-way communication, communication can be perceived better as a two-way process in which there is an exchange and progression of thoughts, feelings or ideas (energy) towards a mutually accepted goal or direction (information). Communication is a process whereby information is enclosed in a package and is channeled and imparted by a sender to a receiver via some medium. The receiver then decodes the message and gives the sender a feedback. All forms of communication require a sender, a message, and a receiver. Communication requires that all parties have an area of communicative commonality. There are auditory means, such as speech, song, and tone of voice, and there are nonverbal means, such as body language, sign language, paralanguage, touch, eye contact, through media, i.e., picures, graphics and sound, and writing. Asked by mlopez - Mon Feb 9 20:24:52 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. i think they dont talk about it because its awkward and their trying to avoid that. the outcome of the teens who learn about it from something other than their parents isnt really different from the ones who learned from their parents. the negative outcome is they might feel that they cant go talk to their parents about the changes their going through and they might feel they cant ask their parents about it. teens can find out about puberty from the internet and also there are a lot of books about it. a really good one is called " The Care & Keeping of YOU: The Body Book for Girls" that book is really good it helps me with all the problems i have Answered by that girl. - Mon Feb 9 20:45:23 2009 Are the attributes of creativity, flexibility and communication important in an effective psychologist?
Q. I have a uni assignment for my academic literacies class, asking me to write about whether or not the attributes of creativity, flexiblity and communication are important in my chosen field - psychology. Just looking for an outside opinion, and new thoughts on the question. Asked by Jade - Mon Jul 28 21:09:07 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes to all 3! I am not a psychologist but i wanted to be one at one time in my life. In my opinion you deal with a wide variety of personality types so you have to be creative in your ways to relate to people whom you don't normally have anything in common with, cuz lets be honest as much as one may like to think they can relate to all there is always gonna be someone that you just can't get through to using the normal methods because they are guarded too much and disinterested in sharing problems with a stranger. Second, flexibility, depends on what you mean... you may have to be flexible in the times and places in which you have sessions with your clients. Thirdly, obviously communication is key, if you can't listen and respond… [cont.] Answered by Tiff - Mon Jul 28 21:27:11 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "communication"
